On Location in Hawaii - Day 5

Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 | Day 5

Hawaii – historical landmark, living laboratory and cultural preserve.
We end our exploration of Hawaii with a day in Hawaii's past. Visitors to these beautiful islands often wonder what life was like for Hawaii's first inhabits. The epic of Polynesian exploration and colonization of the Pacific is the greatest story that has never been told. The Polynesian Cultural Center brings this story to life.

At the Center, natives spear fish, climb 50-foot trees in bare feet, build
homes without nails, make clothing from bark, and create fire from coconuts.

In many areas of the Pacific the Polynesian way of life is in danger of being eclipsed by modern society. At the Polynesian Culture Center, the story of these "Adventurers of the Pacific" are preserved for generations to come.
