Virtual Summer Camp for Homeschoolers!
June, 2005

Virtual Summer Camp - Learn More!
You may sign up anytime between June 6 and August 28.
Be sure to ask about the free bonuses when you register for the camp.

This summer, K-12 homeschoolers around the world will become part of a new concept in summer fun -- an online Virtual Summer Camp. The idea, created and provided by the Home School Learning Network, offers adventures, contests, virtual field trips, critical thinking challenges, and collaboration with other children around the globe.

"We are excited to give parents this alternative to expensive summer programs," said Patricia Carnabuci, CEO of the Home School Learning Network. "Our Virtual Summer Camp will engage students in new ways by using technology as a stepping stone to adventure, both online and off."

With cooking lessons, "nature trail" activities and poetry writing contests, the Virtual Summer Camp offers hundreds of choices to interest every child.  Activities will be available in all subject areas including math, science, humanities, language arts, and visual arts.

Weekly contests are offered in Poetry Writing, Fiction Writing, Science and Nature, and Art.  All submissions will be featured online in a Virtual Summer Camp Exhibition Hall, and weekly winners will be chosen and awarded certificates and prizes.

The 12-week program runs from June 6 - August 28, and is open to all K-12 students.  The cost of the Virtual Summer Camp is $69.95 per family for the entire 12 weeks, a fraction of the cost of traditional summer camp programs.  Students can join at any time and there is no application deadline, but early subscribers receive immediate access to thousands of pages of online learning resources and downloads at no additional charge.

"Growing a passion for learning in our youth should not be for the elite," explains Carnabuci. "Our corporate mission is to provide affordable comprehensive learning resources and curriculum to students around the globe all year long, and our Virtual Summer Camp is an extension of that mission."

Throughout the year, the Home School Learning Network offers low-cost structured and unstructured curriculum to homeschool families, charter schools, and teachers in an online subscription environment.  For additional information about the Home School Learning Network’s Virtual Summer Camp, visit http://www.homeschoollearning.com/summer or email info@homeschoollearning.com.
