After a year of hard work, we are happy to announce
our redesign debut and to share our renovation, with you, our readers. Please
take a look because we've updated our appearance and made our site easier to
navigate—we're more user friendly! And we've, added entirely new material!
Exciting additions to our site include our free
Printables section, our
Educational Adventures installments and our
Local Homeschooling section.
Our
Printables section includes free sample lessons and worksheets. This
section allows you to "test-drive" a site or product to see if it fits your
needs. We will be adding to the printables section until every category is
complete.
Educational Adventuress are small, easy to read (and to implement) ideas
regarding an array of educational topics. These topics include homeschool
workshops, holiday celebrations, important (and not so important) days in
history, everyday experiences that can be turned into homeschool lessons, etc.
Please
sign up to receive our Educational Adventures.
Local Homeschooling includes support groups in your region as well as
businesses in your area that would like to help you with your homeschooling
endeavors. These businesses include local music teachers, tutors, junior
colleges, museums, etc. If you haven't done so already, please
submit your support group. If you know of a business you think should be
listed with Homeschool.com, please tell them about us—it's easy for a company to
list their business in our local section.
Of course, we continue to include the staples of
our site—our Getting Started, Free Stuff, Article and Curriculum sections, our
Resource Guide and our Homeschool.com Forum. The Forum includes
General Discussion Boards,
Homeschooling Resource Boards,
Homeschooling Support Boards, etc. In the forum, you can also correspond
with provider companies and ask any questions you might have about their
programs and products. The forum allows for communication and sharing among
many parties.
Our new redesign is only a few weeks old and we
continue to improve our site. As this is an ongoing process, we welcome your
feedback and ideas. How can we make Homeschool.com even better?
Just let us know! And we hope you like our changes to date!
