Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 | Day 5

Today Homeschool.com is in Pearl Harbor!
On December 7, 2001, 60 years will have passed since the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Reading about what happened in books can't compare with seeing  first-hand the tremendous destruction of naval power and American lives.

Visit National Geographic and learn about Dr. Robert Ballad's recent discovery in Pearl Harbor.

USS Missouri Memorial
Nicknamed the "Mighty Mo," the USS Missouri was the last battleship commissioned by the United States. The Missouri was chosen to be the stage for the signing of Japan's Formal Instrument of Surrender.

The USS Arizona once a great battleship, lies at rest along with her 1500 crew members in a watery grave in Pearl Harbor. The Arizona sunk in nine minutes after a Japanese bomb hit her main magazine of explosives.
