Today Homeschool.com is in
Pearl Harbor!
On December 7, 2001, 60 years will have passed since the Japanese bombed
Pearl Harbor. Reading about what happened in books can't compare with seeing
first-hand the tremendous destruction of naval power and American lives.
Visit
National
Geographic and learn about Dr. Robert Ballad's recent discovery in Pearl
Harbor.
Julie attended a summer
camp in Northern California for 12 years. Now, in her early twenties,
Julie volunteers as a counselor each summer at the same youth camp,
hoping to make sure that other children have the same life-changing
experiences that helped smooth her way into adulthood.
In
October 2001, homeschooler, Anna Bellury, won Power-Glide's "Live the
Adventure" contest and was flown along with her parents to France.
Below, we have the wonderful opportunity to share with Anna a trip she
will remember the rest of her life.
We're back and
we have an adventure to share with you!
Meet the five members of Homeschool.com's Jr. Media Team - Quinn, Mariah,
Justin, Adam and Chelsea - who studied the French language and then traveled
to France to meet their mentors and learn about the people, places and
culture of France! Travel virtually with them as Homeschool.com and PowerGlide "The Ultimate
Foreign Language Adventure" present new photos of
their experiences each day for the next five days!
