Treasure Box Toy Rental

Filed under: Daily News,Educational Adventures — dailynews @ 2:00 am

Do your kids’ toys have an expiration date on them–a date at which your kids are no longer interested in them?  Maybe a month after purchase?  Or two?  Is your home full of toys that no one plays with?

Ever thought of renting toys? Treasure Box Toy Rental rents educational toys and activities for children from birth to five years.  Keep the toys you choose for a month and then return them for different toys!  Or keep them for a longer period if your kids really enjoy them.  Cycling new/different toys into your home every month will eliminate the toy expiration dates!

Toys are categorized by topic ( Dramatic Play, Caldecott and Other Award Winning Books, Music and Movement, etc.) and by age group (infants, toddlers, etc.).

Fun! Educational! And fun learning is forever learning!

Financial Education

Filed under: Daily News,Educational Adventures — dailynews @ 2:00 am

It’s critical we understand 1) our personal and 2) our family finances.  And it’s important that our kids understand financial information too-including credit, compound interest, investment analysis, and MORE.  Steve Beaman’s Path to Prosperity is a financial education course that addresses these topics and answers questions you might have.

Plus, Path To Prosperity is written in easy to understand language and can be listened to over and over again as issues of interest or concern arise.

This is a great product for the entire family.  And it’s only $49.95 as part of a special, limited time offer with Homeschool.com.

Making correct financial decisions is important.  Give your kids the knowledge to do just that!

And remember, fun learning is forever learning.

Fatherhood–a COURAGEOUS Calling

Filed under: Daily News,Educational Adventures — dailynews @ 2:00 am

Last week I told you about the opening of the movie, COURAGEOUS.

As law enforcement officers, Adam Mitchell, Nathan Hayes, and their partners are confident and focused. They willingly stand up to the worst the streets have to offer. Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to tackle: fatherhood.

While they consistently give their best on the job, good enough seems to be all they can muster as dads. But they’re quickly discovering that their standard is missing the mark.

They know that God desires to turn the hearts of fathers to their children, but their children are beginning to drift further and further away from them. Will they be able to find a way to serve and protect those that are most dear to them?

COURAGEOUS….opens September 30th.

Movies are fun-and fun learning is forever learning.

Handwriting to Music

Filed under: Daily News,Educational Adventures — dailynews @ 2:00 am

I LOVE any course that is taught  in conjunction with music.  Music makes the lesson fun….entertaining….easy to learn….and retention is a breeze!

Callirobics (CALLIgraphy and aeROBICS) are handwriting exercises that consist of repetitive simple writing patterns (straight and curved lines) set to music. The music relaxes the participants and adds rhythm to their exercises. With music the exercises become fun instead of a tedious penmanship chore. Music also benefits participants who learn better through auditory, instead of visual means.  For beginners to adults!

Learning with music is fun–and fun learning is forever learning!

Young Children and Number Sense

Filed under: Daily News,Educational Adventures — dailynews @ 2:00 am

An August 11th article in the N.Y. Times states that children as young as three have a “number sense” that may be correlated with mathematical aptitude. “Number sense” involves an “intuition–not involving counting–about the concepts of more and less. It exists in all people, including infants…..”

Researchers have known for quite some time that there is a correlation between number sense and mathematical ability in adolescents.

This NY Times article might be of special interest if you  have young children.

Math is fun….and fun learning is forever learning!
