What does everyone do for the lab areas in Science curriculum? Is it easy enough to handle at home, and are there kits that one can purchase? I have heard of some private schools offering lab classes, and while that is an option, I'm trying to find out how much can be done at home.

Thank you.....

You may want to look at www.scientificsonline.com or www.hometrainingtools.com both have tons of science stuff you can purchase. They've got chemistry sets, disection kits, water test kits, forensic science kits, and a lot of other stuff. The second one also has pages that give ideas for science projects and they have the science curriculum for many of the major curriculum providers (SOS, BJU, Apologia, Alpha Omega, etc) as well as the kits to go with the curriculum.

My oldest in only in 3rd grade, so I haven't planned what we'll be doing for high school science yet. I hope you find something helpful at one of those sites.

Hi,

We just finished up 10th grade biology at home.

WE got a workbook with all the labs in it and what materials we needed.

It was a blast!! I learned just as much as my daughter.

We got our science materials thru Oak Meadow.

It was easy to do but soooooo much funn.

Terilyn
