Anyone using saxon for math?Is the placement test close to accuate for the grade level used?

Mom used it with me. I hated it at the time, but I miss it now. I didn't know there was a placement test, though.

I am using Saxon Algebra 1/2 for my son and I will use the Saxon Algebra 1 when he is ready. The textbook seems pretty well laid out and he is working through it without too much confusion.

I did not use the placement test for him so I can not say much on that.  We use khans academy.org for his lab time and that is how we figured out where his struggles are with math.

We will be using 6/5 this year.I didnt use theplacement test though.Maybe I should have..I may do this just as an after thought.To see where he needs work maybe?
