I was hoping to get some advice on switching from mostly unschooling (only doing formal math right now) to using more formal curricula. Esp. in regards to language arts. Something that is not too time intensive as he is the type that doesn't like busy work. I especially need help deciding what level to start with when they are pretty much beginners but don't want to start w/ kindy level materials. Kwim? Forgot to say that ds is 10 (4th grade-ish). Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me!
Thanks hscoach! I will try that. He does read but he just started last year so he isn't fluent yet. Any ideas for spelling so maybe he'll become more fluent?
A good friend of mine using Writing Strands and her boys really like it. they are kind of relaxed so not way into curriculum. I think it is a full language arts but teaches the grammar and spelling in context of the writing so that it is all integrated.
