Looking to start homeschoooling my kids. My son is in public K and will start at home for 1st and daughter is 4 and I am going to astart immediately.

What materials do I need? Should I buy online curriculum?

I have read the methods and I am leaning towards the classical method.

The closest that i got to classical was when I used the Calvert curriculum which is loosely classical. I loved it at the time - the teacher's manual is fabulous and it is academically rich. It is a little pricey and would be out of our budget now and doesn't fit with how I homeschool these days.

Five in a Row would likely segue into a classical method pretty well and might be a good way to start with your younger child now:
