HSLDA’s 2009 Essay Contest

Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) is currently accepting entries into their 2009 Essay Contest, with prizes ranging from $25 to $200. The entries must be postmarked by November 1, 2009. It is opened to all homeschool students from ages 7 â€" 19. Each student must be homeschooled and must have the majority of their education done via home education over the past year. Each student will be able to submit one entry only.

All essays will be judged upon writing style, clarity, originality, grammar, spelling, logic and grammar. All entries also need to be original writings of the student and the topic will vary by age levels. There are three competition levels.

For contest rules and requirements, please check out http://www.hslda.org/Contests/Essay/2009/2009rules.asp. They also have archives there for you to look at winning submissions in the past years.
