"Write Now" – The Complete Program for Better Handwriting

by Barbara Getty and Inga Dubay

Teach yourself to write legibly and efficiently with an easy-to-write style that’s as distinctive as it is simple.

After creating the Italic Handwriting Series, it was discovered that many adults wanted a book dedicated to their specific needs, and Write Now A Complete Self-Teaching Program for Better Handwriting was born.

Revised in March 2005, the new edition, Write Now : The Complete Program for Better Handwriting, is still completely handwritten, and includes a new supplementary section with a complete review of basic and cursive italic. A newly illustrated ergonomically efficient pen hold will help those of you who get hand cramps from holding your writing instruments too tightly

Illegible handwriting is a nationally recognized problem, which becomes more evident each time we fill out a form that asks us to “Please Print”. Many of us print our handwritten correspondence as a matter of course because we have long ago given up on our ability to write a legible looped cursive. The legibility of italic stems from the complete absence of the loop in all the letterforms. The root of the letterform is used, nothing more, resulting in a crisp, clear handwriting that is as legible as it is simple and elegant. So clear and legible in fact, that Barbara and Inga have just recently given their hundredth handwriting seminar, to physicians and medical professionals. If they can teach doctors how to write legibly, imagine what they can do for the rest of us!
