CART will assess a student’s current reading
ability, and then start them in the program at the appropriate level. The
program covers a wide range of reading ability – all in one program! One CD
will grow with your child, all the way from second grade through the sophomore
year of college.
Lessons Build Spelling and Vocabulary Fast
By teaching spelling and vocabulary, a student’s
reading ability will improve dramatically. CART teaches a student the meaning of
new words, how to spell words, and how to recognize those words quickly in text.
Through this method, a student can improve their reading rate and fluency
because they will no longer have to stop and sound out the word or think about
the word’s meaning. Their reading achievement will greatly improve.
Researched and proven effective
In a scientific study, 88% of students using CART
gained 1.0 or more grade equivalents during the school year. In the classroom
control group, only 37% gained 1.0 grade equivalents during the year. Sadly,
this means that students who don’t get the tutoring they need will get further

Students work independently and at their own pace
