At the University of Nebraska – Lincoln Independent Study High School, we are experts at providing distance education opportunities to home school families. Home school families choose our high school over a traditional high school or other online competitor for a variety of reasons.

First, we have a long and trusted history – over 80 years – in home school education. Additionally, many students choose our school because of our course quality and variety in 8 subject areas. Our courses are college-preparatory and students can also rest assured that their work is evaluated by certificated teachers.

Furthermore, our self-paced format allows students to complete their courses whenever and wherever they need to be. Students can enroll in our courses at any time and they have up to a year to complete each course. Our high school also offers home school students the option to take one or two courses, or earn a full diploma with us.

We meet the demands of our exceptional students by consistently developing new courses that allow students to pursue and develop their unique interests. For example, we recently added a Film Studies and Internet Gaming course, as well as two new Calculus courses. Whatever the needs and interests of your child, we have the courses to stimulate and challenge him/her.
