At the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Independent Study High School (ISHS),
we are experts at providing distance education opportunities to home
school families. Home school families choose our high school instead of
traditional high schools or other online options for a variety of
reasons.
First, we have a long and trusted history--more than 80 years--in home
school education. Additionally, many students choose our school because
of our course quality and variety. Our courses are college-preparatory
and taught by certificated teachers.
Furthermore, our self-paced format allows students to complete their
courses whenever and wherever they need to be. Students can enroll in
our courses at any time and they have up to a year to complete each
course. Our high school also offers home school students the option to
take just one or two courses, or earn a full diploma.
We meet the demands of our exceptional students by consistently
developing new courses that allow students to pursue and develop their
