"A child who masters the fundamentals of entrepreneurship sets the
foundation for his success; a community that fosters this education
exponentially increases prosperity, freedom and peace for all."
The Future Business
Leaders' Series™
The Future Business Leaders' Series™ is a set of
fiction adventure books that
introduce pre-teens to the concepts of business and entrepreneurship.
The message crosses all geographic, gender, racial and socioeconomic
lines by empowering kids to reach for their dreams while learning real
life lessons. The lessons covered in the series can make all the
difference in a kid's future: the importance of dreaming big, protecting
an idea, fighting doubts, building self-esteem, hiring the right people,
finding the right real estate, listening to customers, branding, knowing
the competition, networking, and achieving success.
Tyler's peers are other children of the city of Nessibus with various
skills and talents whose stories of becoming business leaders are told
in separate books. These stories make up the
Future Business Leaders'
Series™.
The plots of the various books
interweave as the characters become suppliers, customers, and referrals
for one another, emphasizing the power of networking and its influence
over one's business success.
About Tyler and His
Solve-a-matic Machine
Book 1 of the Future Business Leaders' Series™ is
Tyler & His Solve-a-matic
Machine, a children's fiction story
introducing the concepts of
entrepreneurship to kids ages 8 to 14.
Tyler and His Solve-a-matic Machine is about an orphaned boy named
Tyler who invents a machine to help him do his homework faster and
creates a business to manufacture this machine. He must endure many
tests set out for him by Soté, before he can officially become a
successful business owner and realize his dream of sailing around the
world. These tests are symbolic of obstacles encountered by adult
entrepreneurs in the real world.
It is set in the city of Nessibus, a metropolis, whose streets
radiate with the energy of commerce. The true adventure begins when
Tyler arrives at a high rise building. Each floor in the building takes
the reader to another world where reality and imagination fuse.
Tyler encounters many adult figures in the building who are portrayed
as animals with traits characterizing their professions—an octopus
real-estate agent who's always on her cell phone, a monkey attorney who
likes to be paid in bananas, and a polar bear CPA who knows his way
through crunching numbers, to name a few.
This story appeals to kids because it arouses their senses as the
main characters perform adventurous tasks and solve challenging,
play-on-word riddles. It appeals to parents and teachers because it can
be used as a teaching tool for entrepreneurship, leadership, networking
and free trade.
Tyler Passes the Golden
Key
Book 2 of the Future Business Leaders' Series™ is
Tyler Passes The Golden Key,
a children's fiction story
introducing the concepts of
entrepreneurship to kids ages 8 to 14.
As Tyler fulfills his dream of sailing around the world, Giselle
returns to Nessibus and the Solve-a-matic factory only to find a creepy
man that lurks in a boat in nearby waters, an eerie (and stinky!) fog
has settled in, and Tyler's customers have disappeared! The company is
on the brink of bankruptcy and to complicate her worries, Tyler gets
stuck out at sea with no wind to carry him back home. Giselle faces the
greatest challenge of her life as she must figure out how to market the
Solve-a-matic Machines to increase Tyler's sales and bring him home.
