At
eHarvey,
we have two main programs:
Summer Session
starts on June 28 and end in 7 weeks to earn a full-credit.
Online School
starts
on September 13, 2010 and take as long as you need (as long as you
finish by June 3, 2011).
Both programs offer:
Self-paced study and flexibility
Real-time scheduled synchronous
support from an experience teacher using our online classroom
Robust online curriculum aligned
to state standards across the country
Full selection of courses that
you would take in a traditional high school, including Music &
Art Appreciation and Health (Advanced Placement available in the
Online School program)
We also offer a
Credit Recovery program
which is customized to the content that you need, not just a
cursory overview of all the content in a course. Credit Recovery can be
done anytime and is self-paced. If necessary, you have the option
of including live supplemental tutoring and instruction.
We combined 3 complementary technologies to build
an online school that is as close to providing the support and feel a
traditional classroom as you can get...
We use a complete online curriculum (Apex
Learning) that allows for interaction, instructional support and
independent assessments...
...and because independent instruction is just not
enough, our teachers schedule interactive online sessions with their
students where they can fully communicate and share a whiteboard...
...it is all tied together using Moodle, a web-based
content management system where students can access course outlines,
assignments, class schedules, messages, and links to documents, websites
and other materials related to the course. Here, they can also have a
forum or chat with other online students.
