Social media is here to stay, but how can you be sure that your child is using it safely? In addition, what should your child know about using social media to leave a positive impression on potential employers and college admissions representatives?
Laurel Springs School, an accredited private online school for children in kindergarten through twelfth grade, wants to help you guide your child with best practices for safe and constructive social media use. You are invited to register for a special event for homeschooling parents, featuring social media safety expert Josh Ochs. Whether your child has been posting photos on Instagram for a few years, or has never heard of Snapchat, you will pick up tips for how your child can be safe and smart on social media.
Date: Tuesday, March 21st
Time: 3 p.m. EST
This event, sponsored by Laurel Springs School, is specifically designed for parents. We will help you get up to speed on the latest apps, and learn which ones are unsafe or a waste of time for your child. You will learn how to control what colleges and employers might find online about your child, and see real-life examples of teenagers who use social media effectively. We’ll explore ways for homeschooling parents to talk to their children about being smart and safe with digital tools. Let us help your child shine online!
Please register to join us on Tuesday, March 21st at 3 p.m. EST for this special event.
