Luyolo Matyumza lives in Pretoria, South Africa. She was in a Quaker school in Delaware but has returned to her hometown in South Africa and has joined OCO as a junior to complete her American diploma. Luyolo loves being involved in online student council and spiritual life advisory. Luyolo has a love for community service and has been part of the national Best Buddies and Quakeover for Cancer organizations. She believes there is a lot of room for disability ministries in South Africa. Luyolo hopes to attend New York University.

Cherokee Watkins is an online senior and was able to take the trip of a lifetime with her grandparents this year. The family took six months to travel through countries such as Russia, Romania, Germany, Poland, Italy, Israel, Spain, Switzerland, and England all while her grandfather worked as an overseas contractor for the Navy. Cherokee's travels did not interrupt her college placement testing or applications. She's now choosing between several schools including UC Santa Barbara and UC Davis.
OCO Senior Colton Rhodes is a travelling hockey player. He had attended local Christian schools, but this year travel to cities such as Dallas, Detroit, Philadelphia, Chicago, and San Jose made doing well in classes and preparing for college a challenge. Colton feels that working online has helped reduce the stress of completing school work while still allowing him the ability to take rigorous courses such as AP English Literature and Physics. His schedule has even allowed him to complete community service with campers at the Desert Ice Castle rink in Cathedral City. He hopes to attend the University of Notre Dame, Wisconsin or Minnesota.

Main-campus senior Cambrie Shroder has been a blended student, with a mix of main-campus and online courses, for all four years of high school. Cambrie used the online courses in her senior year to design a unique schedule that allowed her to travel in her spring semester and still return for graduation. Cambrie used this time to travel to Spain where she took courses at the Esade Business School in Barcelona and to London where she also studied design and business. Cambrie feels that these experiences have enhanced her opportunities with top-tier universities and believes that the flexibility of online learning has helped her balance her acting, charity, business and school passions.

Garrison Littell was on the main campus as a freshman but has been with the online school as a sophomore and junior and will return to the main campus next year as a senior. Garrison has a love of languages and has used his time online to travel to China with the study-abroad program AFS. Garrison has been able to stay on track to graduate by taking online courses during his year in China. His mom says, "The nurture provided by the quality teachers of Oaks and Oaks Christian Online has enabled our son to engage in the direction of his own destiny."
