Summer Language Immersion Programs — A Great Way to Learn World Languages
Learning a world language provides extraordinary cognitive, social and educational benefits to kids. Research shows that immersion is the most effective way to learn a language.
If you’re looking for a way to enhance your child’s world language study, consider a language immersion camp this summer.
For nearly 60 years, parents have been sending their children, ages 7-18, to Concordia Language Villages to learn a world language, foster cultural awareness, and develop important life skills in an activity-oriented, camp-like environment in the pristine North Woods of Minnesota.
Concordia Language Villages is the only immersion experience in the country that intentionally makes participants feel as if they are traveling or living abroad. The programs prepare young people to be culturally sensitive, lifelong language learners, who are prepared to live as responsible global citizens.
- Comparable in cost to traditional summer camps, our ACA-accredited program offers immersive programs in 15 languages: Arabic, Chinese, Danish, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish.
- Learners of all levels will experience the joy of “living the language” in one-, two- or four-week sessions via ever-changing and entertaining, face-to-face language-learning scenarios and culturally authentic activities such as music, dance, games and sports.
- Students entering grades 9-12 attending our accredited four-week High School Credit Program are eligible to receive one full academic year of credit.
- It’s not just for kids! Entire families can participate in week-long Family Programs. Spring, summer and fall programs available!
Start your child on a path to global citizenship by enrolling today. Need-based scholarships are available in select languages!
