In 2005 an event was started as a way of celebrating homeschooling. The annual Hike/Bike event is a fun activity that gets homeschool families together, promotes exercise and shines positive recognition on homeschoolers across the country.

Homeschoolers are just as active and social as those children who attend public school. This event highlights that fact.

This year’s event is scheduled for the last week of May. Wherever you’re located, you are welcome to set up an event in your area. To learn more about how to organize an event for your area, or to see if something is already set up, check out this link.

If you do attend a hike/bike event in your area, please email us at [email protected] and tell us how it went. We’d love to share your stories with our readers.
