Did you know that April is National Poetry Month, or, as some like to call it, NaPoMo; which is kinda fun to say.

I did a very brief search through Google and came across many events and resources that one can utilize to take part in the month long celebration. Lesson ideas range from the very basic to the very complex.  Here are some ideas from an author at Associated Content.

Here are some fun ideas from Scholastic.com. They have a section on how to write I Spy riddles, which has been a huge hit with my kids.

Do you have plans for celebrating National Poetry Month? Is there an event going on in your area that you plan on attending? Is your local homeschool group planning an event? I’d like to hear from our readers. Send me an email at [email protected] and I’ll share your story with our readers.
