La Casita Elementary School in Clovis, New Mexico is host to a fun, hands-on science camp and they have a homeschooling mom to thank for it.
Natasha Neuberger attended Camp Invention with her kids in Albuquerque last year. This year she found out that she could bring the camp to Clovis. She is now director for Camp Invention in Clovis.
The week-long camp is separated into four different sections that focus on different areas of science. It is all hands on and allows for creativity and thinking outside of the box.
The camp is part of a non-profit organization that focuses on teaching science in interesting, engaging ways. There is a fee to attend the camp. The tuition cost goes to pay staff and purchase supplies.
