Sometimes we run across something new that we just have to pass on to everyone we know or even everyone we encounter. This is such a time. A homeschool family from Florida, the Sopourn, created two new games to teach about T.A.R.P., more commonly referred to as the Federal government bailout. The Sopourn created a board game and a card game version of “Bailout”. Both of these versions turn losers into winners (you have to lose money in order for the government to bail you out).
Each player is a rival bank to each other. The bank names are plays on real life banks. For example, the game bank names are Bankruptcy O’ America, Worth Farless, No Cashvia, Liquidation Brothers, Greedy Investors of America, or Washed Up Mutual. Each player must make risky investments to try and earn a BAILOUT from the government.
The Bailout games have been a Winner of the Mr. Dad Seal of Approval, The Toy Man Award of Excellence, E choice Awards, Award of Excellence, the Seal of Approval and the Gold Award from The Family Review Center, and The Old School House Magazine- Homeschool awarded Family friendly and homeschool approved seals.
