The Curriculum Pond, is a new, free online environmental curriculum program. Here’s how it works:

1.  Teachers/Homeschoolers access one of the 3 monthly environmental-education curricula.  Topics range from nature art to soil science.
2.  Classrooms/Homeschoolers complete the curriculum and post their results on the Curriculum Pond website.
3.  Students can then compare results from their activity to students around the United States and the World.

For example:  One of their activities involves youth analyzing the mineral components of a soil sample. The student fills out the worksheet attached to the activity, scans it into the computer, and posts it on the Curriculum Pond website.  Youth can then compare the sand, silt, and clay composition of their soil sample to samples taken in different geographic regions of the United States.

There’s also a raffle for funds and classroom supplies that they conduct on the last day of every month for classrooms/homeschool groups that have participated.
