There is a conference of interest to homeschoolers in Oregon–check it out!  The AERO (Alternative Education Resource Organization) conference is a five day event, from August 1st through 5th. There are many workshops for homeschoolers–you can see them listed here.

Sir Kenneth Robinson will be keynoting the AERO Conference on Friday, August 3rd at 6:30 PM at the Red Lion Hotel on the River. Robinson’s talks about how schools stifle creativity have been watched by a record 200 million on the TED talks.

Other keynote speakers/presenters include Naomi Aldortand and Pat Montgomery, PhD.  Ms. Aldort has written several books for parents and has many homeschool fans.  Pat Montgomery is the founder of the Clonlara Home Based Education Program, a pioneering home education program.

Right now the regular rate for the conference is $325 for the week, but Homeschool.com readers can attend for less!  If you’d like to go just for the day that Robinson speaks, you can get a $75 day pass.  If you’d like to go to the whole conference you can go for just $175! Children are free and inexpensive childcare is available. Here is the special link where Homeschool.com readers can sign up.

If you have specific questions you can contact Jerry Mintz, conference and AERO director at [email protected].

Conferences can be very educational, interesting, and fun!  And as we all know, fun learning is forever learning!
