I received the following from Homeschool.com reader Lainie and would like to share it with you–
I am an American unschooling parent, who has spent the last 3 ½ years traveling through Latin America with my now 13 year old son. We are public about our journey and have contributed to the unschooling community though our articles, experiences and thoughts. (RaisingMiro.com)
Last year my son and I were inspired to create a retreat to bring others to Peru, a place that has absolutely moved us and we’ve both experienced profound learning as a result of being here. As a result, we’ve designed an incredible retreat for teens and adults and families units of any size where they can come and discover the beauty in this culture, experience the richness of the land, and examine the mystery of ancient traditions. Through these experiences we are committed to examining our own relationship to humanity. sustainability and what really matters as a conscious choice.
My son and I are arranging the whole project as a labor of love, and we are not making a profit on it at all. It’s our dream and inspiration to see this retreat become a model for collective engaged learning, and we’d like to see it succeed.
I am asking if you could share this project with your community.
Fun–and fun learning is forever learning!
