Everyone Likes Apple Pie!

Time to gather the kids and have them pitch in….we have APPLE PIE to make. Take that trip to the Orchard (or grocery store) to pick up some good looking apples BUT be sure to come back here for the recipe! Because this one is really amazing!
What You Need
8 Cups Thin Cut Apples
3/4 Cup Sugar
1 Tablespoon Butter
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
2 Teaspoons Flour
Dash of Nutmeg
1 Pre-Made Package of Pie Crust
Lemon Juice to Splash the Apples
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees
Core, peel, and slice the apples — measure out to 8 cups
Mix together sugar, cinnamon, flour, and nutmeg
Splash apples with lemon juice and line them in the pie crust
With each layer, sprinkle the sugar mixture over the top and dab with butter
Cover the pie with the top pie crust, cut slits, and place tin foil along the sides (the tin foil will stop the edges from burning)
Spread some butter across the top and sprinkle with the sugar mixture
Place on lowest rack and bake for 10 minutes, after 10 minutes turn the heat down to 350 and cook for another 30-35 minutes depending on your oven (if it’s on 350 the entire time it won’t cook like it should, and if it’s on 450 the whole time it will be crispy on top and soggy in the middle)
Remove foil for the last 15 minutes (removing it the last 15 minutes will allow the edges to brown)
Super easy to make, kid friendly and amazingly good!
