It’s here … and it’s oh, so beautiful! The Writing Scripture theme this month is a great way to get your mind focused on the meaning for the holiday we celebrate in November. Whether you are looking for a new devotional to use each day or copy work that will give your children a positive message… this month’s Writing Truth theme of Giving Thanks is key! (Don’t miss your free printable below!)
This month is always a time that I take a hard look at my personal life and examine my heart. I like to take inventory of where I’m at on the old “gratitude meter.” How about you? Have you ever met someone that is very ungrateful? I am almost embarrassed for them, and I don’t want to be like that! But, gratitude and giving thanks is not something that comes easy, we have to be intentional about it! The Thanksgiving holiday is a great reminder of all the things that we should be thankful for, and hopefully, a time to bring to light the things we take for granted.
This morning I was scrolling through social media – just checking to see how the family was doing – and I noticed a paper written by a second grader on what he wished for in a family. This dear little one spoke of a clean bed with covers, a toothbrush, a heater, and even air-condition – a father that doesn’t hit, clean clothes and a mom that hugs. WOW. It hit me like a refrigerator landing on top of my chest. I take all those things for granted. EVERY. DAY. How about you?
Isn’t it easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of the crazy busy world and lose sight of the basic things in life? Those simple things that would make life miserable if we no longer had them – make a big difference in this daily journey. This November let’s make it more than a time for a turkey feast, but a time to reflect on the goodness of God and the bountiful blessings He has given us!
Join me and print out the Writing Truth for November and let’s get started on cultivating a heart of gratitude today!
