Homeschooling While Pursuing Your Dreams
Elizabeth Price is a former international elite gymnast who competed for the United States from 2010 to 2014. She was honored to have been selected as an alternate to the 2012 Olympic team that won a gold medal in London. Elizabeth has competed 8 times in international competition representing the USA, her most recent being the F.I.G. World Cup series of 4 competitions and the Pacific Rims, in which she finished 1st in the All Around in both and was crowned the World Cup Series Champion. Elizabeth has brought home 8 gold medals for the US from her international competitions, 5 of which were all-around gold. Elizabeth was homeschooled during her gymnastics career—attendeding Bridgeway Homeschool Academy. She will be attending Stanford University this September where she plans to major in Biomedical Engineering and will compete for the Stanford Cardinal Gymnastics Team beginning with the 2014-2015 season.
Kimberly Kulp has been teaching for over 10 years in every imaginable setting, including public, private, and homeschooling communities as well as online higher education. She is passionate about interdisciplinary education and the integration of technology to enhance mastery, creativity, and connection. Kimberly directs and teaches for Bridgeway’s Student Learning Labs, live online co-op classes for homeschool students around the world. She loves education, technology, and seeing God’s world come alive in the eyes of students who are learning at their own pace. Her greatest accomplishment and joy is the adoption of her 3 children, ages 7, 4, and 1.
In their interview, the women explain how you can homeschool successfully (Again, Elizabeth was accepted into Stanford!), while also pursuing your dreams.
