Is this reason enough to homeschool?

As of late, my fourth grader has been mixing with the "wrong crowd" at school.  I feel a bit helpless when it comes to issues at school because I am not there to guide him in his decisions.

He attends a really great school, but I am starting to think that isn't enough.

My husband and I were discussing the situation today and he brought up homeschooling.  We had thought about it before, but never went forward with it.

My son is very talented and accelerated within his class.  I'd hate to do him a disservice and make the wrong decision.

I also wonder if I am disciplined enough to make it happen.

Any advice from those that have BTDT?
