Homeschoolers — Superior Socialization?

July 16th, 2010 by dailynews

Dr. Thomas Smedley believes that homeschoolers have superior socialization skills when compared to children in the general school population.  He conducted a survey in which he administered the Vineyard Adaptive Behavior Scales test to identify mature/adaptive behaviors in children.  Homeschooled children ranked in the 84% percentile while their public school counterparts ranked in the 23rd  and the 27th percentiles.

This information was sent to Homeschool.com by Karen Ritz-Dow.  I did check for accuracy and other sites refer to this same study.  Thank you Karen.

And remember–fun learning is forever learning!
