Thanksgiving Crafts for Kids

Leaf Stained Glass

Leaf Stained Glass is one of our favorite crafts at our house. Perfect for a nice after Thanksgiving walk in the woods! Gather your favorite smaller sized leaves and bring them home. Take two sheets of waxed paper and some fall crayon shavings and iron the leaves between the waxed paper. Make a cute construction paper frame and you’re good to go!

 

Thanksgiving Place Mats

This one is super easy – but also super fun. You can take black chalkboard paper or brown craft paper and cut each child a piece (or do the whole table so adults can join in) the size of a placemat. Use chalk markers or sharpies to decorate your placemat! 

 

Thanksgiving Note Cards

Make your thanksgiving that much more memorable by making your own Thanksgiving Thank you cards. What a great way to teach your children about “giving” by thanking those that are often overlooked. You can purchase blank cards and envelopes or you can create your own thanksgiving cards from construction paper or craft paper. After lunch, spend the afternoon giving back to those that may need a little encouragement!
