Heather Stark stepped down from her role as a school counselor in 2015 and started a girl empowerment business called Grace and Grit Box. She holds a Master of Education in School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of North Texas.

 

Emily Fermier Homeschool Conference speaker

Emily Fermier brings nearly 20 years of ASL teaching experience to the virtual academy.  In 2016, she developed an online ASL curriculum to mirror a lot of what she teaches in a physical classroom.  She was first introduced to ASL when she was 12 when she lived next to a girl who was Deaf and was fascinated with the language.   She has taught at both the high school and college level, and has a Master of Arts in Integrated Teaching and Learning with a Specialization in ASL Education, from The Ohio State University.

Homeschool Conference Natalie DuhonNatalie DeMoor Duhon is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Louisiana. She earned a Master of Science in Counselor Education and a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She resides in Lafayette, Louisiana with her husband and seven-year-old daughter. Natalie has experience providing group and individual therapy in inpatient and outpatient settings and has homeschooled her daughter since preschool. Her daughter was the inspiration for her curriculum.
